Over the past year, small business owners in Philadelphia have had a rough go of it. With ever-changing regulations and restrictions, it’s been difficult to safely navigate our way through 2020.

Despite it all, we are still here. Our doors are still open, and our employee roster is unchanged. Our team at Patriot Construction can surely count their blessings.

However, we’re not at the finish line just yet and have unfortunately lost a few local teammates along the way. In the Philadelphia region, at least 252 businesses have permanently closed between March 1 and July 10, according to Yelp.

While regulations on job sites such as mask mandates and disinfecting practices are easily enforced, social distancing can sometimes be a challenge if/when two people are needed to get the task done. Shipping delays are also on the rise thanks to the COVID pandemic.

If this year has taught us anything, it’s that the most valuable asset we have is our relationships. Without our rockstar employees being flexible and diligent in enforcing the new safety protocols, our company’s daily operations might have ground to a halt.

Our incredible subcontractors, vendors, and partners have been patient and dedicated towards getting projects done with an emphasis on building safety, quality, and punctuality. It’s been a pleasure to be your General Contractor.

We’d like to take this time to thank you all for your support throughout this year. Whether it was as small as a “like” or as large as a potential bid opportunity, it means the world to us.

From our team to yours, have a happy holiday and a healthy New Year!
